Comprehensive Energy Assistance Program (CEAP)

What does the program do? 
Assist low-income households particularly those with lowest incomes that pay a high portion of household income for home energy.

Who benefits from the program? 
Low-income citizens, elderly and disabled persons.

What areas/counties are covered by this program? 
Brooks, Jim Wells and San Patricio counties.

When does a person qualify for the program? 
Applicants must apply and meet the federal poverty level of 125% of less to be eligible for services.

How does an individual enroll in the program? 
Call for an appointment or visit our Central Office at 204 E. First St.; Alice, Texas 78332.

Additional information about the program:  
CEAP services include:  energy education, needs assessments, budget counseling (as it pertains to energy needs), utility payment assistance and heating and cooling system replacement, repair or retrofit.
