What does the program do? 
Provide comprehensive child development services to children from birth to age 5, pregnant women and their families.  We are a child-focused and family-centered program, and have an overall goal of increasing the social competence of young children in low-income families.

Aransas, Brooks, Duval, Jim Hogg, Jim Wells, Kleberg and San Patricio Counties

When does a person qualify for the program?
Eligibility for participation in Head Start is based on the poverty guidelines updated annually in the Federal Register by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services

How does an individual enroll in the program?
Applying for Head Start services is a simple process.  Contact the CACOST Head Start 0-5 Program in your community.  An application for admission is completed and submitted to the Enrollment Coordinator.  Copies of birth certificate, social security card, immunization record, medical insurance, proof of benefits and proof of income should be submitted with your application.
